One of several shots from a series of photos I took recently. Comment and post your cheesy titles if you’re that way inclined! “Soar”, obviously, is a little too cliché… can we do better? Hehehe.
For more, see the newly resurrected gallery. Click the image above for (compressed) source resolution. Uncompressed source and full resolution versions of all images in the gallery are sitting on my computer… I’d say to get in touch if you want to use them for anything, but then, I still haven’t bothered to fix my contact form yet. Well, leave a comment and I’ll get in touch ;-) And I’ll fix the contact form soon, promise.

how about…
“The ebb and flow of light and tide…”
… and of life, dear Benjamin. Yes, of life. (those previous sentences were naturally articulated in one of those infuriating “relaxation tape” voices).
Let your dreams take flight! Oh yes!
Sadly — so very sadly — the first thing I saw was a PHYSICAL JOURNEY that of course is intertwined with an INNER JOURNEY that leads to personal growth. And I’m not even about to start that wretched conga line of managerial jargon-encumbered rubrick expulsion.
something tells me you dont like the area of study the board of studies makes us study for our Higher School Certificate examinations… (yes i did just get 3 studies into one sentence :P)
oh well, i thought ebb and flow was rather nice!
WHAT A GREAT PICTURE. YOUR WORK IS BRILLIANT!!
Can I go to where that picture was taken. It looks nice and stress free…
Cool photo josh! it works well with the sunlight reflecting of the water, I love the serenity (HEY theres
an idea for a cheesy title)…, I don’t think I could get my old optio 30 to capture the wave without bluring it… Pitty about the clouds though, aint it always true that whevere you want to get a photo of the sky/sunset those damn stratus clouds always get in the friggin way…although it looks good in that photo I would personally prefer some cumulus or a congestus in it but thats just me.… I’ve only managed to get one brilliant sunset which contained something other than stratus — my
altocumulus lenticularis shot’s (quite strange for sydney that one, most common in high alpine regions as a result of strong orographic lifting.….)
I dunno, I reckon most cameras could manage that shot okay. The auto exposure was, by default, pretty low because there’s an intense light source towards the middle of the field of view. If I’d wanted a higher exposure time on my Optio S40 I’d have turned around and half-depressed to set exposure time on a darker object with focus near enough infinity it wouldn’t matter, then take the photo… but I didn’t have to here.
Your photo is really funky! Love the colours in it, did you do any post– work on that one? The photo in this post is true to colour (well, you know, as true as digital and monitor colour profiles allow it to be), but I’ll admit I’ve run an unsharp mask over it for the scaled version.
Thanks! but — No, in-order for my camera to take photos which reasonably reflect reality I have to set the sharpness, saturation and contrast to maximum otherwise the photos tend to look very washed-out especially with the sky. You only have to look at the other photos in the series to see that. I tend to take alot of shot of the same thing while adjusting the settings to get it to come out right. Unfortunatly if there’s alot of white cloud around this can make the sky come out abnormally…blue. Even so, despite my best efforts my camera still didnt quite capture the vibrance of the colour right, it looks great sure but could it could’ve been alot better.
Meteorologically speaking the next best sunset for me to get a chance at seeing is the brilliant
orange red reflecting off a powerful F4-F5 tornado.…. one day.…
