Josh (the blog)

I’ve delivered simple, clear and easy-to-use services for 20 years, for startups, scaleups and government. I write about the nerdy bits here.

The “Bake The Cake” video

Ben’s just posted about it, so I figure the leadership team are okay with it being released to the world — Our school leadership team of 2005 are taking a metaphor to extremes, with our very own Naked Chef, amongst other things.

It’s available for download from Ben’s site, but for faster downloads grab it from this mirror today.

~16.5MB, WMV only.

SACS students, Andrew Garrett will be fulfilling his promise of singing in about two weeks time!

My funky whiteboard thing

It sits on top of the monitor and you can write on it and it’s very funky.

Look at the funky whiteboard!!!

My new phpSysInfo page

If you’re feeling luc… err… geeky, then take a look at my new BSD server’s phpSysInfo page. Yes, the / partition is at 102% capacity… a manual df -h reports that, so no, it’s not a phpSysInfo bug. Having said that, it’s not causing any problems, I’m disinclined to go poking!

Some reports that people can’t access this page… should be able to fine, I’m checking it out now…

Later: I visited it using a proxy server and it was still working, so the outside world can clearly get to it. Perhaps there are problems with users DNS stuff, as it’s a CNAME pointing to a dyndns service…
