Josh (the blog)

I’ve delivered simple, clear and easy-to-use services for 20 years, for startups, scaleups and government. I write about the nerdy bits here.

The ironically-named FBi Radio

A few minutes ago on Sydney’s FBi Radio 94.5FM.

Track fades

A quick shout out to Cas; And Garry wants to say sorry he didn’t come home last night, and that it wasn’t him, it was the acid.

Momentary silence. Anticipation of another comment from announcer, but none is forthcoming. Another track plays.

My goodness, community radio scares me sometimes.

Any excuse for cake

Any excuse to eat cake shall suffice this week, it seems, with St. Andrew’s once again celebrating its 120th birthday. I’m writing about this mainly because I thought the above was a pretty picture. The end.

And we had the biggest smoke machine I’d ever seen, right up until someone decided the rolling fog looked tacky and scrapped it… or something like that. For whatever reason, we didn’t get to use it for the actual show. Doh! :(

Technology is wonderful…

[17:34:27] Josh: Can you plug a mic into them or is it just the inbuilt thing?
[17:34:32] Viktorya: Zens do EVERYTHING
[17:34:40] Viktorya: Apparently it wont turn on though.
[17:34:43] Viktorya: I dunno

Everything but switching on. Cool.

Bedridden – extension 1

I can’t believe how much I seem to be posting about this class of late, but it just keeps producing such hilarious material! Our teacher decided to… get into the spirit of things, and dramatise a poem somewhat too much. The following is what ensued:

There was going to be video, but the quality of the audio was too poor and I couldn’t cut together anything interesting enough to justify publishing – apologies. However, despite this, the last three stills are captures from video.
